It Takes a Village

A Message From Valerie

I want to thank everyone for helping to make our dream for a new school, a reality. We are so close and it took so many people I don’t want to start naming them because I know I will miss many people. Thank you to all of you who have donated. Thank you to people like Wally from Wally’s electric for his many, many hours doing our electrical, and to all our wonderful parents and students who have been coming to paint. This is the school that love built!

We will be able to take many children off our waiting list. We have a great space for the kids to play, a beautiful library and a kinder where the kids can play in the classroom.

We are about $4,000 short to buy sheetrock for the library and two classrooms. If you can help us accomplish this dream we would all be so grateful! Please PayPal or bank transfer Valerie at Make sure to note that the donation is for the school build.

Sponsorship Opportunities

There are still a few adorable faces waiting to be sponsored. This sweet Kindergartener Osly recently got sponsored and he is SO excited. The staff and teachers are amazing and provide a place where Osly’s mind will be fed with knowledge, his body nourished with healthy food, and his hearts and soul will be comforted knowing that there are people that are rooting for his success.

The children at Charmont Bilingual Academy all need to be sponsored for the cost of $65 USD or $75 CDN a month for 12 months or $780 USD a year. This pays for their education, their food and their school supplies. Fees are payable monthly, bi-yearly or yearly, whatever the sponsor’s preference is. To find out who you can sponsor, please contact Valerie at

Kids Helping Kids

Eleven-year-old Molly makes kid-friendly jewelry with 100% of the proceeds going to help purchase school supplies off the school’s Amazon Wishlist. With her sales so far, she’s purchased two desks and a swing for the school!

*If you’d like to make a purchase, please note that this is a U.S.-based store.

Thank you

You have continued to feed our families, even through these incredibly challenging times. It’s our mission to finish building the school that love built.”
